This Mother’s Day, we honor the extraordinary strength of mothers who carry their families through hardship, uncertainty, and unimaginable challenges.

For countless women in Syria, motherhood unfolds amid conflict, displacement, and fragile healthcare systems. A routine pregnancy can quickly become life-threatening when safe care is out of reach.

Through SAMS’ Maternal & Child Health Program, we are helping mothers and newborns access lifesaving care, from prenatal and postnatal services to safe deliveries and neonatal intensive support, while training healthcare workers to sustain this care in vulnerable communities.

Last year, SAMS supported the safe delivery of more than 22,000 babies. Yet many mothers are still waiting for the care they deserve.
