Aegean Islands (2016–2018)

Emergency Medical Aid for Newly Arrived Refugees

During peak periods of arrival and crisis, SAMS delivered emergency medical support across the Aegean Islands, including Lesbos, Chios, Samos, Leros, and Kos.

  • Primary healthcare for newly arrived refugees
  • Treatment for common illnesses and injuries

Volunteer-Led Medical Response

Through a rotational volunteer system, SAMS deployed medical teams capable of treating an estimated 150 patients per island each week, ensuring consistent access to care during critical humanitarian moments.
