Thousands of children with autism in Syria lack access to diagnosis, therapy, and specialized support. Years of conflict and limited resources have left families struggling to find the care their children need during the most critical years of development.
Autism services in Syria remain severely underdeveloped. Many children are diagnosed late, or not at all, missing critical opportunities for early intervention. Families often face isolation, financial hardship, and limited access to qualified professionals. SAMS Autism Academy was established to change that by providing evidence-based diagnosis, therapy, training, and family support under one roof.
SAMS Autism Academy in Damascus provides multidisciplinary autism services, including diagnostic evaluations, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, occupational therapy, family training, and developmental assessments. The Academy also trains Syrian professionals through internationally recognized QABA certification programs, building sustainable autism care capacity across the country.

With donor support, SAMS established Syria’s first specialized Autism Academy in Damascus. Contributions helped secure and renovate the facility, train over 100 autism professionals, launch diagnostic campaigns serving dozens of children, establish multidisciplinary evaluation services, and begin intensive therapy programs for children with autism. Every donation helps expand access to life-changing care and builds a stronger future for families across Syria.
Your support helps children with autism access specialized care, therapy, and educational opportunities that may otherwise be unavailable. Donations also fund professional training programs, ensuring that qualified autism specialists are available throughout Syria. Together, we can build a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
When SAMS Autism Academy opened its doors in December 2025, eight children became the first participants in its intensive therapy program. Following comprehensive assessments, each child received individualized treatment plans focused on communication, social interaction, and daily living skills. Early progress has already been observed in communication and attention skills, while parents report increased confidence and support through caregiver training and guidance. This is just the beginning of a long-term commitment to helping children with autism reach their full potential.
