Mohammad’s Story of Survival
One of the hardest moments for any parent is watching their child fight for every breath.
Born in a displacement camp in Syria, baby Mohammad faced severe respiratory distress and pneumonia shortly after birth, putting his life at risk.
At Qah Maternity Hospital, supported by SAMS, Mohammad received intensive, life-saving care. Thanks to the dedication of the medical team, he was gradually weaned off the ventilator and began breathing on his own again.
Day by day, Mohammad grew stronger until he was well enough to return home with his family.
Through hospitals like Qah, SAMS helps give vulnerable newborns across Syria a chance to survive and thrive.
