Officials in Idlib met with businessman Ayman Asfari to coordinate charitable projects under the “Loyalty to Idlib” campaign. As part of the initiative, they launched construction of a new maternity and children’s hospital west of the city, funded by the Asfari Foundation in partnership with the Syrian American Medical Society.
The project aims to improve healthcare services, especially for women and children, while supporting broader humanitarian efforts in the region.
A Syrian medical team from Chicago is performing advanced heart surgeries at SAMS Hospital in Idlib as part of the organization’s April medical mission to the facility, including valve replacements and other minimally invasive procedures, while also training local doctors and introducing new cardiac techniques.
