From September 19 to 22, the Bridges of Recovery – SAMS 15 medical mission brought specialized medical care, surgery, and medical education to communities across six governorates in Syria.

In just four days, the mission delivered:

          · 2,096 medical services

          · 1,863 patient consultations

          · 62 surgeries

          · 87 medical procedures

          · 37 trainings and workshops

Behind every number is a patient who needed care.

One was a 50-year-old breast cancer survivor who was ready to move forward but still hoped to regain her confidence after treatment. 

During the mission, the SAMS medical team at Ibn Al-Nafis Hospital performed breast reconstruction, giving her a renewed sense of confidence and hope as she began a new chapter after cancer.
