On July 25, a devastating road accident on the Palmyra–Al-Sukhnah highway in Syria claimed 35 lives and injured 35 others, leaving families and communities devastated.
SAMS extends its deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones and wishes a swift recovery to those injured.
Within hours, SAMS mobilized alongside the Syrian Ministry of Health and Health Directorates in Homs and Deir Ezzor, delivering essential medicines and emergency supplies to hospitals treating the injured.
Tadmur Hospital, the closest facility to the accident, is not equipped to manage serious or multiple trauma cases after years of conflict. SAMS is supporting efforts to strengthen its emergency department with up to $75,000, while establishing an emergency fund and coordinating additional medical supplies, ambulance support, and patient assistance in Homs and Deir Ezzor.
Your donation today brings critical supplies directly to the hospitals treating the injured. It means more lives saved, more families kept whole, and more hope in a moment of heartbreak.
