In December 2025, at just 8 years old, she underwent cochlear implant surgery. For the first time, the sounds of voices, laughter, and words filled her world, a world she had never truly heard before. Before the procedure, when asked if the surgery was for her or her younger brother Adnan, she didn’t hesitate: “For my brother.” Adnan, 5, is still waiting for his turn, with surgery expected soon, and a world of sound ahead.
