When a child gets a fever, a mother needs prenatal care, or when someone is living with the quiet pain of trauma, access to healthcare can mean everything.

Yet for many families in Northeast Syria, access to quality medical care remains a challenge. Years of conflict and instability have left communities underserved, forcing countless people to navigate serious health challenges with limited resources and few options for care.

That is why SAMS is working to bring healthcare closer to home.

With support from the Aid Fund for Syria (AFS), SAMS has rehabilitated and equipped the Maadan Health Center in Rural Raqqa and the Al-Shaddadi Health Center in Rural Al-Hasakah. These facilities now have essential medical equipment, medications, supplies, and trained healthcare workers to better serve the families who depend on them.

Building on this progress, SAMS continues to expand critical healthcare services across Northeast Syria, with a focus on maternal and child health and mental health and psychosocial support, helping vulnerable families access comprehensive care when they need it most.

Your support helps ensure that access to healthcare in Northeast Syria is not a privilege, but a basic right. Join us today in bringing care closer to home.
