Dr. Moutamn Sadoun is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon. Dr. Sadoun’s educational pursuits began at Aleppo University, where he earned his medical degree in 2002. He then completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of Aleppo from 2004 to 2009 and later at the University of Arizona from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, he undertook fellowships in trauma research, transplant surgery, and minimal invasive and bariatric surgery. Currently, Dr. Sadoun practices at Ascension St John Hospital in Detroit, where he specializes in bariatric and foregut surgery, primary and complex revisional surgeries, and general surgery, with a focus on robotic surgery. He also serves as a trauma surgeon at a level 1 trauma center and teaches residents and medical students. Outside of his medical work, Dr. Sadoun values family life, being married with three children, and enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and reading.
