In Kormaza village in northern Raqqa, Houria, a 50-year-old woman, arrived at the health center exhausted and in distress, after months of silent struggle.

She had been living with uncontrolled hypertension, chronic anemia, and persistent headaches. Over time, even simple daily tasks became difficult, as illness gradually took over her life.

At Kormaza Health Center, a SAMS doctor provided a full assessment and created a tailored treatment plan. Houria received consistent care to manage her blood pressure, treat her anemia, and stabilize her condition through regular follow-ups.

Little by little, her health improved. Her strength returned, her symptoms eased, and she was able to return to a life she thought she had lost.

But what stayed with her most was this: the care she received did not only heal her body, it restored her dignity and hope.

Houria’s story is one of many.

Through Kormaza Health Center, SAMS delivers essential healthcare to underserved communities, including chronic disease management, maternal care, emergency services, and vital support.

With your support, more lives like Houria’s can be changed, bringing care, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
