Syrian American Medical Society Foundation

May 29, 2026

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and good deeds during the blessed first days of Dhul Hijjah.

Because of you, hope continues to reach patients and families across Syria facing unimaginable hardship. Your support is helping provide lifesaving cancer treatment, critical care for mothers and newborns, urgent heart interventions, and essential support for hospitals and frontline medical teams across the country.

This week, we witnessed the life-changing impact of your support through our cochlear implant program.

For years, SAMS has been helping children hear the world for the very first time through pioneering cochlear implant surgeries. In just two days at Idlib University Hospital, medical teams completed six surgeries, including three highly complex cases for children affected by meningitis, bringing the total number of successful cochlear implants performed in 2026 alone to 24.

Behind every surgery is a child hearing a loved one’s voice for the first time. A parent hearing their child respond. A future filled with connection, communication, and hope.

Thank you for choosing to multiply your good deeds and stand beside the people of Syria during these sacred days. As the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah continues, there is still time to make an impact and transform lives across Syria.
