This Ramadan, as we reflect on the blessings in our lives, we are reminded of those who are just one heartbeat away from tragedy—people like Ali.
Ali, a 55-year-old displaced man, first ignored the chest pain that would soon threaten his life. But as it returned with intensity, he knew something was wrong. He sought care at a private hospital, only to be met with a heartbreaking reality—he couldn’t afford the treatment that could save him.
Desperate and out of options, he asked to be sent home to face his fate.
But hope was waiting.
Ali was transferred to Al-Zaraa Hospital in Idlib, supported by SAMS, where the medical team diagnosed him with a severe heart attack and life-threatening ventricular tachycardia. Dr. Ahmed Ghazal and his team acted immediately, performing an urgent catheterization and placing two stents to open his blocked artery. For 42 hours, he was carefully monitored in the ICU.
And today, thanks to the generosity of people like you, Ali is alive.
“Words are not enough to express my thanks to the hospital staff who saved me, without any charge,” he says.
This Ramadan, you can be the reason someone else like Ali gets a second chance. Your donation helps provide life-saving heart care, surgeries, and urgent medical interventions for those who would otherwise have no hope.
Give now and be the light of hope for patients who are counting on us.
