This past Ramadan, we were proud to share a meaningful milestone made possible by your generosity.
Through SAMS’ participation in the 2026 For Mama Challenge, an initiative led by Every Pregnancy, a global Muslim-led movement dedicated to advancing maternal and newborn health, over $91 million was raised in just 30 days by more than 50 participating organizations across 20+ countries.
As part of this collective effort, SAMS raised over $6.9 million in direct contributions, along with more than $749,000 in additional Boost funding, that will help expand and strengthen our programs for mothers and newborns in Syria.
With your support, SAMS ensures mothers & newborns receive:
-Safe deliveries and newborn care across Syria
-Skilled obstetric care, emergency interventions, newborn screening
-Mobile midwife clinics for displaced mothers
-Training midwives and nurses to build local capacity
-Care and nutrition support for women and children in crisis
Emergency maternal services during active conflict This milestone reflects the power of collective action and shared purpose. Because of your support, more mothers can experience safer pregnancies, and more newborns have the opportunity to thrive.
