SAMS Lebanon Situation Report #7

Recent escalation in the region has intensified the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, displacing nearly 700,000 people, including 200,000 children. Rising food and fuel prices, combined with conflict-related injuries and ongoing attacks, have placed immense pressure on vulnerable communities and Lebanon’s already fragile infrastructure. Most displaced families are relocating to host communities in Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon, and central Beirut, while public schools are being repurposed as temporary shelters, further disrupting access to education and essential services.

In response, SAMS Lebanon is providing critical health and mental health services through its static Primary Health Care and Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) centers, mobile medical units, and outreach teams. These efforts include primary care consultations, trauma care, chronic disease management, and protection services for both Lebanese and displaced populations. SAMS teams are also conducting community health awareness sessions, pre-positioning essential medical supplies, and coordinating with national and international partners to ensure equitable access to lifesaving care during this ongoing crisis.
