Throughout Syria Liberation Month, SAMS chapters across the country came together to mark a historic milestone for Syria and to celebrate the resilience, progress, and hope shaping its future. Each gathering reflected the strength of our community and the growing impact of our collective work.
SAMS Texas – Dallas Celebration
On December 6, the SAMS Texas Chapter hosted a powerful evening in Dallas commemorating the first anniversary of Syria’s liberation, welcoming over 600 attendees. The program featured remarks from Minister Hind Kabawat and Minister Raed Al-Saleh, reflections from SAMS President Dr. Aref Al-Rifai, recognition of Dr. Wareef Kabbani for his distinguished service, and youth innovation highlights through the Beam Noor Venture Creativity Competition—honoring both past sacrifices and future leadership.
SAMS Michigan Annual Gala
The SAMS Michigan Annual Gala brought together nearly 500 members of the SAMS community and raised over $400,000 in pledged donations to support our lifesaving mission. The evening included special remarks from Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, inspiring performances, and the presentation of the SAMS Humanitarian Award to Mr. Omar Haydar for his critical contributions to medical supply logistics.
SAMS Midwest 18th Annual Gala – Syria Reborn
Close to 500 attendees gathered on December 13 for the SAMS Midwest 18th Annual Gala. Under the theme Syria Reborn, the evening featured remarks from Chapter President Dr. Ibrahim Kassas and a keynote address by Mr. Qutaiba Idlibi, along with updates on SAMS’ programs and impact. In a powerful show of support, the community raised over $1 million in one night to support the Al-Afia Hospital and expand SAMS’ lifesaving oncology services. Honorees included Dr. Mufaddal Hamadeh, the Deir Ezzor Team, and Mr. Abdulwahab Omira. Cultural performances closed the night, celebrating Syrian resilience and renewal.
Together, these gatherings reflected the spirit of Syria Liberation Month—affirming our shared commitment to healing communities, rebuilding systems, and supporting a future shaped by dignity, self-determination, and hope.
