Syria remains at the heart of SAMS’ emergency work. Since 2011, our teams have delivered care through hospitals, mobile clinics, rehabilitation centers, and mental health programs, reaching millions in areas where the health system has collapsed.
SAMS also responds wherever medical needs are urgent. From Gaza and Libya to Ukraine and Morocco, we’ve launched critical interventions in crisis zones around the world. Our efforts include trauma surgery, maternal care, psychosocial support, and health worker training.
Since launching our global response in 2016, SAMS has provided medical aid to more than 1.3 million people across 13 countries.
SAMS has provided continuous emergency care throughout the conflict, including trauma surgery, COVID-19 care, mobile clinics, mental health services, winterization, and rebuilding hospitals after targeted attacks.
Since October 2023, SAMS has launched medical missions, supported mobile maternal health units, delivered emergency aid, and opened a permanent office in Gaza to ensure long-term care.
Led psychosocial workshops for women and children, and delivered dental services and hygiene education to 780 children in earthquake-affected villages.
