How can I make a donation to your organization?
You can donate securely through our website using a credit/debit card or PayPal. We also accept bank transfers, checks, and recurring donations.
What percentage of my donation goes to helping those in need?
For every dollar donated in 2024, 93 cents went directly to programs.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our Tax ID is 16-1717058. A donation receipt will be sent to your email.
Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation immediately after donating, and an annual tax statement will be sent each January.
What is your refund policy for donations?
If you believe your donation was made in error, please contact us within 30 days for a refund.

This organization is very successful at providing medical and humanitarian aid for those who are most in need. The Syrian American Medical Society has one of the highest direct donation percentages, as in 2020, 95 cents of every dollar donated went directly to beneficiaries. The Syrian American Medical Society stand out as an exceptional example. Being a member of 10 years, serving as CA chapter president and having the opportunity to lead a dental mission to Jordan, I saw firsthand the impact of SAMS work in several aspect. I can truly say that my experience with SAMS is life changing.

The Syrian American Medical Society Foundation is such an incredible organization, as they are constantly working hard to provide care for all people in need, regardless of their background. Not only have they worked with people in need of humanitarian aid from the Syrian conflict, but they have helped during many other crises, such as Hurricane Harvey in the US. The staff always do their best to accommodate the needs of their beneficiaries and are constantly looking for new ways to help support them!

I was a public health nurse in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 11 years.
One of my clients had emigrated from Syria to Minnesota. I became aware of the difficult and dangerous conditions and lives of Syrian people. I learned of the Syrian American Medical Society Foundation. They go into difficult places to operate and give medical care. Because of this organization, I believe some Syrians will live through the devastation of events in Syria. I am happy to give a monthly donation to support the medical staff in Syria. Hello. I have had an inspiring experience donating to Syrian American Medical. I receive newsletters: phone calls etc. Informing me how doctors and medical staff benefit from my monthly donation. As a former public health nurse, I became acquainted with a Syrian family. One member had been severely tortured by Syrian military. My heart opened to their suffering. He is one of millions who suffer. Donating gives me a way to give tangible help to this excellent organization.
