As the holy month of Ramadan began, SAMS medical volunteers chose to start their journey by giving the ultimate gift—life-saving care to those in need. In the first week of Ramadan, our Multispecialty Medical Mission brought together doctors and specialists from around the world to deliver urgent medical treatments, perform critical surgeries, and train the next generation of Syrian healthcare providers.
As a part of our Ramadan Medical Mission in Syria, SAMS provided:
✅ 621 total consultations
✅ 97 surgical and interventional procedures
✅ 916 healthcare professionals trained across 38 specialized sessions
Our teams worked across multiple specialties—including interventional cardiology, oncology, nephrology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and maternal health—providing expert care at no cost to patients. In just one week:
➡️ A father of 15, suffering from a severe heart condition, received a life-saving cardiac procedure, restoring his health and ability to provide for his family.
➡️ International specialists trained 916 local healthcare workers, ensuring long-term, sustainable care beyond this mission.
➡️ Patients facing life-threatening illnesses received specialized surgeries and interventions, offering them renewed hope for the future
As Ramadan continues, so does the urgent need for medical aid in Syria. Your support makes missions like this possible—helping doctors save lives and bring comfort to those enduring hardship. Give today to keep hope alive.
