Position Title: Fundraising Administrative Assistant

Supervisor of Position: Fundraising and Development Manager
Employment Definition: 40 hours per week

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Fundraising Administrative Assistant will work in support of the Fundraising and Development Department and in support of all aspects of donor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with the Fundraising and Development Manager all aspects of donor records in the donor
management database of individual, foundation and corporate donors to grow charitable giving
- Maintains and updates constituent records and lists to ensure effective outreach to the organization’s
donors for maximum campaign and fundraising impact
- Provides overall administrative support to the Fundraising and Development Manager, but not limited to; donor research, communications, stewardship and cultivation events
- With direction from Fundraising and Development Manager, creates procedures to ensure diligence and best development practices
- Assists production and distribution of mailings and reports
- Tracks and enter donations into the database, and update prospect and donor lists
- Maintain donor files
- Assists in timely acknowledgement/recognition of donors and contributions as appropriate through mail, email and phone
- Assists in sending pledge reminders and acknowledgments to members and donors
- Assists in provide monthly reporting on donor/fundraising information as requested by management
- Assists with execution of annual fundraising campaigns and major gifts
- At the direction of the Fundraising and Development Manager assists in the logistics of fundraising events
- Works with all staff to ensure efficient upkeep and tracking of donor related data
- Assists the development of online & printed promotional materials related to fundraising campaigns and
- events
- Assisting in drafting and updating current templates for improved donor retention efforts such as acknowledgement letters, appeals and thank you letters
- Prepare mailings and follow up as required
- Assist with event planning logistics
- Attends some fundraising and donor-related meetings
- Attends some fundraising events including some offsite
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, International Business, or another related field of study
- At least 1 year of experience in finance, international business, or another related field
- Excellent computational, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize project deadlines
- Raiser’s Edge or other Database experience is a plus, but not required
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong written and verbal communication and editing skills
- Strong attention to details
- Finance and fundraising experience preferred
- Ability to manage time responsibly and juggle multiple, varied tasks at once
- Flexible, energetic with positive attitude
