Dr. Ahmad Hashem is a healthcare systems executive and advisor with over 24 years of experience. His previous work with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Program, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation projects, and USAID funded projects touched more than 60 countries in various capacities, mostly in health system strengthening. 07, he worked with all levels of the Syrian government on healthcare sector modernization plans. Ahmad worked as Global Manager for Microsoft’s Healthcare and Life Sciences group, where he was responsible for leading Microsoft’s worldwide strategy in healthcare. Ahmad holds an MD degree from the University of Damascus and a PhD degree in health care informatics and management from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives with his family in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
