Nine-year-old Ibrahim came to the Sarmin Dental Center in tears, unable to sleep or attend school due to severe tooth pain. For a child living in Syria, where access to dental care is limited, this pain was a barrier to his growth and happiness.

SAMS’s Sarmin Dental Center provides comprehensive dental services, including specialized treatments like root canals and cavity care. Dr. Mustafa Amam recalls Ibrahim’s case vividly: “The child suffered from extensive decay in his baby teeth and required urgent care. We started with introductory sessions to ease his fear, then carried out treatment in stages to eliminate his pain completely.”

In 2024, the Sarmin Dental Center treated 9,000 patients, reflecting the immense demand for dental care in the region. This work is part of SAMS’s larger effort to rebuild Syria’s healthcare system, ensuring that even the most vulnerable have access to essential care. By addressing immediate needs while paving the way for sustainable healthcare, we’re contributing to the vision of Syria Health 2030.

Today, Ibrahim is back in school, his smile restored, and his pain a distant memory. Stories like his remind us of the critical need for accessible healthcare in rebuilding Syria. Together, we can continue transforming pain into hope and ensuring every child gets the care they deserve. Let’s keep building brighter futures, one smile at a time.
