SAMS responds wherever medical needs are urgent. From Gaza and Libya to Ukraine and Morocco, we’ve launched critical interventions in crisis zones around the world. Our efforts include trauma surgery, maternal care, psychosocial support, and health worker training.

Established in 2023, the SAMS Institute is the dedicated arm of the Syrian American Medical Society focused on enhancing medical education & training for healthcare professionals in conflict-affected regions, laying the groundwork for stronger health systems & brighter futures.

SAMS organizes and facilitates frequent medical missions to deliver essential healthcare services in crisis-affected regions. Since 2014, over 1,500 volunteer healthcare professionals have served displaced populations, refugees, and underserved host communities across countries like Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey, and Greece.
